Chasing The Wind (6) – Final

God is the Lord of order, as seen in the creation story. He created light first for other things to be seen clearly. In other creations, God spoke forte, but in creating man, God reasoned together and called out, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness .”That image that likeness is the Light of Life. Behold, you are the light of this world as children of the kingdom. You are called to be like Christ. Be a good copy and win the Crown of life.

One is called to look forward to something, and that thing is God. Do not be carried away with financial success, political heights, economic achievements, etc. Abraham trusted in the Lord, and his way became prosperous. Jesus is the only way. Accept Christ and other things will be added in reasonable measures. Satan’s deceit and camouflage are hatred. It would help if you purged yourself of all hatred. It is a clarion call to embrace love in entire ramification.

We are saved only by the perfect work of Jesus Christ through the Grace of God the Father, but the Bible is evident that our rewards in heaven are very closely related to our good works. The Crown of life is won only by true Love for God. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him” (James 1:12).

The Crown of life is a promised reward for those who genuinely love God, and it is won by not chasing the wind but enduring trials and temptations. Our love for God gives us the inner strength to endure. A child of God must not fear trials and temptations; they make you stronger and enlarge your perseverance limit. In John 10: 27-30, Jesus made a proclamation, “My sheep listen to my voice, I know them, and they follow me: I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, no one can snatch them out of My Hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s Hand. My Father and I are one.” Jesus also said “He that cometh to Me shall never hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst” (John 6:35);

Jesus desired that we live life, modeling after him, watching and waiting for His return. The five crowns are won for the straightforward commands of Scripture that are to be lived out every day of our lives:

  1. The Crown of life is obtained for enduring Trials and Temptations in Discipleship.
  2. The Crown of incorruptibility is obtained by self-denial.
  3. The Crown of Joy is obtained by our acts of soul winning in true evangelism.
  4. The Crown of Glory is obtained by involvement in Disciple-making.
  5. The Crown of Righteousness is for those who are committed and looking for the second coming of Jesus Christ, the consummation of eschatology.

The Light of Life is Jesus Christ, and He saves us to do good works to wear crowns in Eternity. Be of good cheer and take that bold step today. In conclusion, Apostle John the Evangelist, an eyewitness, a companion, and disciple of Jesus, declares in 1 John 1: 5-7; “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you; God is Light; there is no darkness in him. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

My Clarion Call Today is for us to stop Chasing The Wind.
