The Light of Life

“Put your trust in the light while you have it to become sons of light” (John 12:36).

In the beginning, God created light; the light was good, and He (God) separated the light from the darkness. Then the man fell through sin. There was only one way that remained – ‘The Cross.’

The Cross became the center of history. Usually, love is the opposite of Justice, but they met through Jesus Christ at the Cross, who reconciled us to God, the Father. The Light of Jesus Christ penetrates the images in the mirror of life. Humankind was created in the image of Christ to be perfect and to be sinless, but we chose to disobey God’s commands and become slaves to the devil. But God is Merciful, and He opened a window of escape in the gift of Jesus Christ, who was sacrificed to right the wrong, the blameless lamb who only could open the Seal that gave us Eternity.

According to King Solomon, the real-life foray is nothing but chasing the wind. God created humankind in His image and gave him the power to be the ruler of other creations. The Love of God made Him create humankinds in His image. No value can be put on God’s Love, but the only payment endorsed is to love Him back. Paradise was on earth at creation, but by the fall of man, Paradise was lost. The perfect setting became a state of confusion, and the world of darkness came afore.

John’s gospel says the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (John 1:5). God’s work is creating light in the darkness. Darkness is natural and can be terrifying. Chasing the wind allows the enveloping of darkness. We must walk as children of light to prevail and be steadfast in our Love for God. Each man’s life is but a breath in the Psalmist’s words. Man is a mere apparition as he goes to and from; he bustles about but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it. All is nothing but chasing the wind.
